1. Product features and application

Flame-retardant cables can operate normally for some times when it is burning except that it can transmit electrical power under normal condition, and has self-extinguishing features, that is to say, which has the ability of fire-resistance and delay fire catch or spread. It is use in the place that high closeness of cables laying, such as power station, railway, tunnel, high building, big industrial and mining establishments, oil field and coal mine etc.

2. The scope of products

This product is mainly suitable for any place that suit to flame-retardant and fire-resistant electric wire and cable and plastic insulation control cable requirement.

3. Standard

The electric property of this product is the same to normal electric wire & cable, both use corresponding national standard, the flame retardant property and fire resistant property of flame-retardant and fire-resistant cable must accord to the requirement of GB/T 19666-2005, GB/T18380-2001, GA306-2001, and GB/T 19216.21-2003.

4. Product characteristics

1). The environmental temperature for laying cable should be not less than 0° C.

2). Max. Permissible continuous operating temperature of conductor,

PVC insulated =<70° C; XLPE insulated=<90° C

3). Max. Short-circuit temperature of the conductor(5s Maximum Duration),

PVC insulated=<160° C; XLPE insulated=<250° C

4). The bending radius of a cable must be equal to corresponding common cable.

5). Single flame-retardant cable must reach and meet IEC60332-1(2) requirements of shortening the burn time, also called self-extinguishment, multiconductor or bunched cables meet IEC60332-3 and burning within limits, and are able to self-extinguishment.

6) Fire-resistant cable burning features

(1)On the burning condition of 750-800° C flame temperature, cables can normal operation at least 90min.

(2)The test of carrying capacity shall greater or equal to the suitable type and specification common cable under the working conditions.

7). Fire-resistant cable can endure fire resistance test, and meet GB/T 18380.3 requirement, even under the 750-800° C and 950-1000° C flame temperature, at the same time 1000V voltage is applied, burning for 90min, the connected 2A fuse wire doesn't open and conductor doesn't break.
